Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2025

This policy explains what informationasphaltcalculator.ai("we", "us", or "the site") collects when you use the free asphalt calculator, how cookies and similar technologies are used, and the limited third-party services that may run after you consent.

Information we collect

The calculator is a pure front-end tool. The dimensions, state, project type, and mix selections you enter are processed in your browser only and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We do not maintain a user database, we do not ask for your name or email, and we have no way to tie a calculation back to you.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself does not set cookies. We use a singlelocalStoragekey (ac_consent) to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics and ads. That preference never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time from your browser's site-data controls.

Analytics and advertising

If you accept, the site loads Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and may load Google AdSense. GA4 collects anonymized usage data such as page views, approximate region, and device type. AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads. IP addresses sent to GA4 are truncated and anonymized (anonymize_ipis on). Visitors from the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland see an opt-in banner before any analytics or ad script runs; visitors from other regions load analytics by default and can still decline from the banner.

Third-party services

The only third-party services that may run on this site are Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and the hosting provider that serves the static HTML. Each operates under its own privacy policy. No other tracking, fingerprinting, or data-broker service is integrated.

Children's privacy

The site is a general-purpose construction calculator and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles data ever changes, the updated policy will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For a tool that stores no personal data, material changes are unlikely.
